Dave tried their reuben this evening for dinner. He says that the oversize homemade rye bread is an excellent touch. The meat was tender and the sandwich very good. The ratio of turkey to corned beef though was off. There was too much turkey and not enough corned beef. The portions were huge. Dave took half of his sandwich home to finish for lunch tomorrow making it well worth the money. He was willing to give it another try and rated it

The Search for the Perfect Reuben
Dave loves a reuben sandwich. One of the first places we ever went to eat was Rose's in Portland. It wasn't the original Rose's, which was long gone by the time we began dating, but it was a Rose's. They had what he considered the all time best reuben sandwich. Unfortunately, Rose's has expanded and expanded and expanded and they have not kept up their high quality foods. The last several times we went he was very disappointed.
Thus begins a new blog, one who's sole purpose is to share the results of his search for the perfect reuben. As we find places that serve a reuben sandwich and eat there, I will post his review of the sandwich. The scale will be from 1 - 5 with 1 being the worst and 5 being the best.
If you have recommendations for places he should try, please post them here!
